Mocking the now infamous shoe throwing incident pertaining to George W. Bush in Iraq, Letterman and Conan of course had to dodge shoes in their monologue and throughout the rest of the show. Conan's hired hand threw a shoe too low for the 6'-5" talk show giant to duck under, as scripted. Conan then jokes that he was hit in the "crotch". I've been hit in the crotch with a shoe and I wouldn't have been able to finish telling jokes that no one laughs at, so it's a bit of a mystery as to whether he was telling the truth...

In other news, they finally announced Jay Leno will be moving to a 10pm eastern time slot - 9pm central, which is considered "prime time" (not the Deion Sanders kind). Conan will be taking over Jay's show at 11:30pm eastern in June. I can only assume they plan on Conan carrying his demographic with him, because I just don't see him maintaining the viewership that Jay has. Old people everywhere will be happy to go to bed right after the new.
