 Step Brothers, the Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly comedy, was released yesterday. There are a few comedies that I can truely see myself living out in real life. Step Brothers isn't one of those. I can think of a few people I know in this scenario, but not nearly as funny.
If you haven't seem this movie, you need to. The story is that Brenen's (Will) mom and Dale's (John) dad get married which means that Brenen and his mom move into Dale and his dad's house. Dale and Brenen are almost 40 years old, so they are well established in their own routines and aren't very receptive to the change. They hate each other at first, but then become best friends after realizing they have so much in common.
They go on with a plan to conquer the world, which doesn't exactly work out, causing their parents to get divorced and the brothers to grow up quickly. All is well that ends well and this movie ends well.
It's certainly the best work these two have done together. I think Talladega Nights was great, but it wasn't a movie everyone wanted to see. My wife liked this movie just as much as I did, unlike Ricky Bobby. Don't let the kids watch this one though...
